Guitar, Music Theory, Songwriting, and Bass Lessons in Minneapolis, MN

I’ve been making music for most of my life. It started with piano lessons when I was 7, and then picking up my first guitar a couple years later. Since then, I’ve explored a wide range of musical experiences: touring all over the US and Canada with my bands, writing, producing and recording albums, playing in orchestra pits, jazz combos, worship bands, and many more.

I’ve been teaching privately since 2018, and have refined my curriculum and approach through countless lessons with students at every age and skill level. Whether you’re looking to start from the beginning, or refine existing skills, I can teach you. Online from anywhere, or in the greater Minneapolis area.

My Teaching Philosophy

  • Balanced Approach

In my curriculum, I strike a balance between learning the music you enjoy, and the techniques and theory to be the best you can be.

  • Diverse Specialties

I fluently teach a wide variety of musical styles, including rock, folk, metal, pop, funk, R&B, electronic, and more. I also specialize in songwriting, music theory, picking and fingerpicking.

  • No Boilerplate Lessons

While I have a well-developed curriculum, every lesson I teach is tailored to the needs of the individual- my lessons cater to all skill levels, ages, and learning approaches.
